I have been reading a ton of parenting books lately mainly due to the fact that my baby went from 0 to 3 like that. Having a three year old brings lots of fun but also lots of times to be intentional with training.
Here are a few of my favorites. This is not sponsored just my honest reviews and hopefully they help you discern what books to read. I get overwhelmed by the number of books I could be reading so I love reviews.
Here are the books I’ve read the last few months that I would recommend if you are looking for some good parenting books.
Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles that radically change your family
By Paul David Trip
I love how clearly Paul David Tripp explains the Gospel. He really communicates that our children’s problem is not their behavior but the heart issue. This has been such a great read for us.
Treasuring Christ when your hands are full
By Gloria Furman
She communicates the Gospel in such a clear way and really gave me a lot to think about. When I read Gloria’s books, it makes me long to have a friend like her that could always point me back to Christ in every situation like she does in her books
The Mission of Motherhood: Touching Your Child’s Heart of Eternity
The Ministry of Motherhood
By Sally Clarkson
I just adore Sally. Her books, her podcasts, and her blogs. She has such great wisdom. Her children are grown and I love that she can share as she has gone before us. Both of these books helped me to think about what is really my mission and ministry in motherhood. After reading her books, I always wish I could go have a cup of tea with her
Parenting the Wholehearted Child: Captivating Your Child’s Heart with God’s Extravagant Grace
By Jeannie Cunnion
I heard Jeannie on a couple podcasts and I really loved how she explained grace parenting in a way that was not permissive. I was excited to find find one on a kindle deal and highlighted quite a bit of the book. I thought she had a lot of great practical ideas in the book. She gives many examples of sample conversations
